most first year doctoral students are relatively young. A bachelor's
degree or master's is more appropriate for those seeking to immerse themselves
in science, but who are not willing to spend a half-decade or more
intensely focusing on science.
Simply enrolling in a Ph.D., master's, or MBA program with the
intention
of getting a degree but not being passionate about the topic of
study is of relatively little value. Skills learned in school will
influence job roles and career opportunities. The preferred route it
to follow your passions, hone your craft, and find ways to apply
your expertise to problems you find interesting.
